Commande du Conseil Régional du Languedoc-Roussillon. Gares des Cévennes Langogne-Nîmes, tronçon de la ligne Marseille-Paris via Clermont-Ferrand. Première ligne de chemin de fer construite en France. Ces travaux débutés au milieu du XIXè siècle, poursuivis par Talabot, avaient pour but de transporter le charbon du bassin cévenol aux centres industriels. Le "cévenol", train de voyageurs, est mis en service en 1955 et relie Marseille à Paris. Il est encore en service jusqu'en 2007, date programmée de sa disparition.
